Iron work and heating filaments. In this space, I isolated the infrared frequency of the heating coils, attempting to view heat as light. The room was completely darkened, and during the tanning ceremony, couples with marshmallows were invited to examine this temporary temple of warmth. For me, this work reflects the attempt to create warm spaces in Jerusalem's cold winter. Intimacy, playfulness, and childlike wonder exist even within a dangerous and foreign space through the use of unique lighting temperature..
